The Devaerakkam trust is a non- profitable trust founded in August 2011 by Mr. Gunasekaran, son of Mr.Deva Erakkam to establish charitable activities to people who are in need. Mr. Gunasekaran established the trust in his father's name with the dire purpose to serve the society at large. The social responsibility driven by his father's grace and the almighty's blessings has lead Mr. Gunasekaran to set a trust and perform activities which will benefit the society in the fields of education, health care and woman's upliftment.

The funds deposited and collected in the trust will be used to run, maintain, develop and improve schools and colleges, to educate poor students by setting up nursery, primary and secondary schools, and to give employment by setting up small scale industry and cottage industries. The Devaerakkam trust will also provide free legal assistance for the poor and needy. It will work to eradicate AIDS and other deadly diseases by setting awareness groups and also by providing proper medical assistance. It will strive to create awareness on environmental pollution amongst the general public by setting up awareness camps and seminars.
